Our Fulfilment Centre.
At Blue30, we get it. A lot of brands have become frustrated with the traditional fulfilment centre models. Too often, brands can feel like just another account number . Another client to hit a monthly target, with support pushed through ticketing systems and decisions made around the 3PL rather than the brand.

We Built Our Fulfilment Centre To Be Different.
We’ve been in your shoes. As ecommerce sellers ourselves, we understand what it’s like to put your brand, your customers and your reputation in someone else’s hands. That experience shaped the way we built Blue30 from the ground up.

We’re here to be the UK 3PL partner brands are actually looking for one that supports your growth, takes ownership and genuinely cares about getting things right.

You won’t be passed from department to department when something needs sorting. You’ll have a team that knows your business, understands your operation and is here to find solutions rather than simply point you towards a ticketing system.

Our Service Level Agreement and contract are built around the same philosophy. We believe the relationship should work both ways, with clear expectations, straightforward terms and no complicated clauses designed simply to protect the 3PL.

Whether you need UK order fulfilment, pick and pack, subscription box fulfilment, contract packing, Amazon FBA prep or wider ecommerce logistics, we’re here to provide more than just warehouse space.

What Is A Fulfilment Centre?
A fulfilment centre is a specialist warehouse where businesses store their products and outsource the process of receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching customer orders. Instead of managing your own warehouse, staff, packing operation and courier collections, a fulfilment centre manages these processes on your behalf.

What is a warehouse?

A warehouse is primarily a facility used to store goods and inventory. While a warehouse can also handle activities such as receiving, stock management and dispatch, storage is generally its main purpose.

A fulfilment centre goes further by being set up around the movement of stock and the processing of individual customer orders. This makes it particularly suited to ecommerce businesses with regular orders that need to be picked, packed and dispatched quickly.

What is a 3PL?

3PL stands for third-party logistics. A 3PL provider is an external company that manages some or all of a business's logistics operations.

A 3PL can provide warehousing, inventory management, order fulfilment, courier management, returns processing, FBA preparation and other logistics services. Using a 3PL allows a business to outsource its logistics rather than managing these operations in-house.

What is an ecommerce fulfilment provider?

An ecommerce fulfilment provider specialises in fulfilling orders generated through online sales channels. This typically includes receiving and storing stock, integrating with ecommerce platforms, picking and packing orders, creating shipping labels and arranging delivery.

For growing ecommerce brands, an ecommerce fulfilment provider can remove much of the operational workload associated with managing orders internally. Instead of hiring warehouse staff, finding additional storage space and managing multiple courier services as sales increase, the fulfilment operation can be handled by a specialist provider.

In simple terms, a warehouse stores stock, a fulfilment centre processes orders, a 3PL manages outsourced logistics, and an ecommerce fulfilment provider specialises in fulfilling online orders. In practice, a modern 3PL fulfilment centre can provide all four functions as part of one service.

How Does A Fulfilment Centre Work?
We support brands every step of the way. We take care of the entire fulfilment process so you can focus on growing your brand, knowing your fulfilment is in the hands of our dedicated team.

Step 1 - Receive stock and quality control
We receive your goods directly into our fulfilment centre, where our team checks each delivery to ensure the stock arrives safely and in good condition. Our goods-in process includes checking quantities, product condition and packaging, helping us identify any discrepancies or damage before your stock enters the warehouse.

If we find any issues during the check-in process, our team will notify you and provide detailed photos and information for your review, giving you clear visibility of the condition of your stock when it arrives.

Once checked and approved, your goods are labelled and assigned to their designated storage and picking locations within our warehouse management system. This ensures your inventory is organised, traceable and ready to be picked and dispatched efficiently when your customers place their orders.

Step 2 - Order Pick and Pack
Your customers’ orders are automatically pushed into our warehouse management system (WMS), giving our team everything they need to process each order accurately and efficiently.

From there, our warehouse team picks the correct products from their designated locations, following your specific picking requirements and SOPs. Each order is then carefully checked, packed securely and prepared using your preferred packaging, inserts and branding where required.

Before dispatch, orders go through barcode verification to help ensure the right products are being sent to the right customer. Shipping labels are then created and the completed parcels are handed over to the appropriate courier for delivery.

The entire process is managed by our team as if the orders were our own, helping you maintain accuracy, consistency and a reliable customer experience as your order volumes grow.

Step 3 - Dispatch
Once your order has been picked, checked and securely packed, our team applies the designated courier shipping label and completes the final dispatch checks.

Each parcel is then sorted and routed to the correct courier based on the delivery service selected. Our team ensures orders are ready for the courier’s scheduled collection, helping keep your shipments moving efficiently and avoiding unnecessary delays.

With multiple courier services available, we can help ensure your orders are dispatched using the most suitable service for your delivery requirements, whether that’s standard, next-day or international delivery.
